Christmas Tree

While we were in Chester the week before Christmas, we did venture into the Cathedral and were told that it was all but closed, but they wold happily take £3 per person to have a look around the decorated Christmas trees and perhaps spend some money in their cafe or event better the gift shop.

Most of them were decorated by primary school children, or perhaps the teacher I suspect was the case with some. None of them really caught my eye until this one which looks Ok on balance and was in a side chapel which itself looked very impressive. But this tree had something special. I’m not sure if it was what powered the decoration or if it was the treat for finishing, but right at the bottom, there’s a bottle of wine, empty I am sure, but still it’s an obvious addition that made this one stand out. So it’s a 10 from me.
