You wouldn’t think a place would change that much, but in some ways it’s obvious. I don’t know what I expected, but it does tend to suggest that the first picture is quite soon to when the place was abandoned. For anyone (probably everyone) who doesn’t know where this is, this is WIndy Harbour on Werneth Low, which contradict my initial comment was abandoned in 1998 when the restaurant at the site burned down. In fact there were talks to do something with the boarded up restaurant in 2005, so perhaps around 2010 it was decided that it needed to be demolished.

I must admit I don’t go up there so often, but we did have a walk up there this week and when we got to the site I decided to find the steps that I took a picture of. Trying to get a sort of identical picture of and failing badly by ther looks of it.

As you can see by the new photo, everything is a little overgrown, and I ink I should have got lower and closer to the railing. But if it wasn’t for the railing, it would be impossible to determine that this was the same place.
